The Rose and Crown at Romaldkirk

A scenic 15 mile drive up the dale from Headlam is our other hotel, the Rose & Crown at Romaldkirk. This delightful 18th century 12 bedroom coaching inn stands on the green next to the Saxon church in this picture postcard Teesdale village.

Lunch and supper is served daily in the informal brasserie or the charming bar where drinks and snacks can also be enjoyed all afternoon. There is also outdoor seating to the front of the property for those sunny days. The fine dining restaurant serves dinner every evening and a traditional Sunday lunch once a week.

If you are staying at Headlam Hall for a short break it makes for an enjoyable trip out with some fantastic attractions also in the area such as High Force (England’s highest waterfall). Our reception team will be happy to give directions or make advance bookings if required.
