Headlam is a great place for celebrations and special events in County Durham with a choice of private rooms to suit both small and larger parties.
We enjoy an excellent reputation at Headlam for hosting private parties such as anniversaries, birthdays, fundraisers and dinner dances. We can also offer exclusive use of Headlam Hall for that extra special occasion such as a wedding reception.
A magnificent setting, excellent service and good food and wine are key factors to make your occasion both enjoyable and memorable. We can accommodate up to 120 people utilising our fabulous Coach House which includes the Stable Lounge and Ballroom. Exclusive Use Wedding Receptions can be held at Headlam Hall on an exclusive-use basis when the wedding party have sole use of the Main Hall, Coach House and terraces on the day of the wedding celebration. There is also a requirement to take a minimum of 30 bedrooms on the night of the reception. This ensures that couples choosing Headlam for their special day have the complete focus of our team and enjoy that 'private country house experience' with no other hotel guests on the premises.

FAQs
Yes we regularly have live bands playing at Headlam and they can set up to play in the Coach House Ballroom.
We have our own music/p.a. and lighting system in the Coach House Ballroom which can be used by a professional DJ.
We can accommodate up to 120 people in the Coach House at Headlam Hall. For smaller events we have the Stable Lounge for up to 50 people and the Drawing Room for up to 30.
We only host a limited number of wedding celebrations at Headlam on an exclusive-use basis. This includes the Main Hall and Coach House as well as taking 30 guest rooms on the night of the event.
