Classic Car Groups & Tours
12 June 2019
The perfect place for classic car enthusiasts to gather and enjoy...
As a classic car enthusiast myself I like nothing more than seeing a group of old cars in the courtyard at Headlam Hall. I have a few classic cars and bikes of my own and compete in hillclimbs and the occassional historic rally so I have a reasoanble understanding of what owners are looking for in a venue. At Headlam we can offer a private parking area either in the courtyard or around the fountain at the front. We also have facilities to wash cars, store trailers and carry out repairs should the worst happen! A four post lift in the workshop is available to use under supervision.
Headlam is located in a great position for daily drives with the surrounding countryside of Teesdale providing fabulous driving roads that are both light on traffic and with great scenery. Within an hours drive you can find yourself enjoying famous routes in the Yorkshire dales such as the Buttertubs Pass, the Lake District and Northumberland. We can also advise on the best places for lunch stops and attractions to visit if you are looking to stretch your legs and take in some culture.
Over the years we have welcomed classic car groups that include ACs, Austin Healeys, Bentleys, Jaguars, Porsches, Rolls Royces and Talbots. Everything from modern classics to pre-war cars. With 38 bedrooms we can accommodate larger groups and have private dining rooms and reception rooms so you can gather in comfort for drinks, dinner and general discussions about all things classic car. Though to be fair, we do find that most conversation takes place around open bonnets in the car park!
If you are looking to orgainse a classic car or motorbike gathering then please get in touch and I am sure we can host an excellent and memorable event for you at Headlam Hall.
