The use of fresh and locally sourced produce including fruits, herbs and vegetables from our own gardens is at the core of our food philosophy.

 

Dinner Menu - autumn/winter

Assiette of Smoked Seafood - Seasoned white crab meat, local gin cured salmon, roasted king scallop with lime creme fraiche and pink grapefruit - £10.50

Twice Baked Teesdale Blue Cheese Souffle - with a smoked chipotle relish and dressed leaves - £8.50

Smooth Duck Liver Parfait - with a spiced port and orange jelly, roasted plum and rye bread - £9.00

Terrine of Braised Ham Hock - with chilli jam, pickled pineapple and brioche - £9.00

A Salad of Local Kipper - with new potato and chorizo, devilled eggs and toasted croutes - £9.00

A Goats Cheese Mousse - with salt baked beetroot, chicory, artichoke and a honey and mustard dressing - £8.50

Roast Breast of Chicken - with bubble & squeak, parsnip puree, kale, baby leaks ad stock gravy - £19.00

Roast Breast of Gressingham Duck - with root vegetable dauphinoise, spiced pear, red cabbage and a red wine sauce - £21.00

Grilled Escalope of Salmon - with a Thai spiced risotto, king prawns, bok choi and crispy seaweed - £18.00

A Sweet Potato and Chickpea Tagine - with cous cous, pomegranate and flat bread - £15.50

Linguini Pasta - with roasted butterut squash, blue cheese bon bons and pumpkin seeds - £14.50

Tempura of Seabass - with mushy peas, caramelised lemon, citrus creme fraiche and seasoned fries - £17.50

Lunch Menu - Monday to Saturday

Lunch is served from 12pm until 2pm. Booking recommended but not always essential. The seasonal menu changes daily with a choice of 4 for each course.

Monday to Friday: 2 courses £16.50, 3 courses £19.50, Tea/coffee £2.00

 

We also serve snacks in the Spa Brasserie from 10am-4pm.


Sunday Lunch Menu

Our Sunday lunch is served from 12pm until 3pm, booking essential.

Please go to our online booking pages where the best rates can be found. Online reservations can be made for up to 6 rooms at a time and for a maximum of 6 months ahead.
