The Rose & Crown

A scenic 15 mile drive up the dale from Headlam is our other spot, the Rose & Crown at Romaldkirk. This delightful 18th century inn stands on the green next to the Saxon church in this picture postcard Teesdale village.

This charming property has 14 bedrooms, an award winning restaurant and a great bar (dog-friendly) in which to enjoy food & drink. Lunch and dinner is served daily and there is outside seating where you can relax with a drink and watch the world roll slowly by!

If you are staying at Headlam Hall for a short break it makes for an enjoyable trip out with some fantastic countryside to explore either by car, bicycle or on foot. Our reception team will be happy to give directions or make advance bookings if required.
