These holidays have been organised for a number of years by Nicholas Merchant, an accredited lecturer of the Arts Society (formerly NADFAS), We are now delighted to be staying at 4 star Headlam Hall, Co. Durham, with its elegant 17th century mansion with its abundant facilities.
These breaks feature, in very congenial surroundings, a number of talks and visits to places of interest in the locality
VISITS; BOWES MUSEUM
Including talk by Trustee Jonathan Peacock; Who made the Silver Swan?
Full day at the Premises of Tennants with Talks on Oriental Ceramics and Jewels by their experts, along with lunch and Behind the Scenes tour.
Full day in the City of York with visits to Fairfax House and the Castle Museum
