We have 38 rooms in total.
Headlam Hall is privately owned and run by the Robinson family who converted the property into a hotel over 40 years ago and have farmed in Headlam for four generations.
We have a bar and restaurant, private dining rooms, meeting rooms, extensive gardens, tennis court, outdoor fitness area, spa, nine-hole golf course and a brasserie café.
Headlam Hall is in the hamlet of Headlam which is mid-way between the towns of Barnard Castle and Darlington, a few miles off the A67. We are in County Durham but are only 2 miles from North Yorkshire.
Yes we welcome guests with dogs at Headlam Hall. We have a selection of dog friendly rooms (for up to 2 dogs) and also welcome dogs in the bar and lounge. For further information see our Dog-friendly page.
Yes we have family bedrooms and suites with sofa bed as well as pairs of rooms with a secure and private lobby. We offer a children’s menu and children under 7 are welcome in the restaurant up until 7.30pm. We also have designated access times for the spa for under 16s.
Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 11am.
Yes we have 6 ground floor Mews rooms and also 3 ground floor Coach House rooms.
The restaurant is open from 7am (8am Sundays) - 10am for breakfast , 12pm-2pm for lunch and 6pm-9pm for dinner.
Yes we welcome non-residents for lunch and dinner as well as drinks in the Library Bar. Advance booking is always advisable.
Residents can book to use the spa facilities, however, this is not included in our standard B&B rate and there is an additional charge of £15pp per day if required. Our seasonal break packages include spa use along with some of our other offers. The spa is available for residents to book between 2pm on day of arrival and 11am on day of departure.
Yes residents can book a tee-time through the Pro Shop for a round of golf (green fees apply) or use the practice range. Tuition can also be booked with the resident PGA Professional.
Yes we have a selection of private dining areas for parties of 8 - 50 people.
Children (under16s) are welcome in the spa between 8am - 9am and 4pm - 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 10am and 4pm - 5.30pm on Saturdays & Sundays.
The spa facilites are only available to members, hotel residents and guests on a day spa package that includes facility use. Spa treatments can be booked by non-residents.
We only host a limited number of wedding celebrations at Headlam on an exclusive-use basis. This includes the Main Hall and Coach House as well as taking 30 guest rooms on the night of the event.
We welcome green fee paying guest on the course, however, tee-times must be booked in advance of arrival through the Pro Shop on (01325) 732113.
Yes we currently have two charging points but will shortly have four new ones installed. Charges apply.
We will alsways do our best to cater for specific dietary requirements but please notify us in advance of your arrival so the chefs can prepare accordingly.
We have a small selection of classic cars that are available for residents to hire between May and September. There are terms and conditions of hire so please see the classic car hire page.
Children over 7 years old are welcome in the restaurant at anytime. Children under 7 are welcome up until 7.30pm unless in a private dining room.
